There Are Fun And Easy 3rd Grade Science Projects Kids Can Do
Every parent wants our children to do the best they can in school. We may want to help them a little too much at times. We should be answering questions about their math homework not giving them the answers. It can sometimes be tempting to do the work for them to ensure they get a good grade but it will not help them in the long run. When there are 3rd Grade Science Projects that need to completed, there are a few things you can do to help your child help themselves.
There are many 3rd Grade Science Projects that children can do on their own. They can take different bottles of soda and shake them up. They can then carefully open the bottles. They can repeat it over and over until they lose their fizz. They can document which soda lost its fizz first and how many shakes it took to lose it. They can also test different types of bubble gum to see which can blow the biggest bubble. Plants are always great to use when doing 3rd Grade Science Projects. You can place two plants in two different cups of soil then water one plant with water and one with coffee every day. Take pictures and document the differences in their growth. You can also try putting a flower in different cups of water with the petals still out. Add dye to the waters so that each is a different color. Document as the flowers change colors. You can even take pictures as the process goes on.
There are some really neat 3rd Grade Science Projects that will require a little parent involvement for safety reasons. You can take five nails and place them into different plastic cups that are clear. Then place water in the cups. Make one completely full, one half full, add salt to one, sugar to another, and boiling water to the last. The parent should be the one pouring the boiling water just to be safe. Always make sure to document how long it takes each nail to rust and which nail rusts the fastest. This is a really cool experiment to learn how different things can affect the nail and how rust works.
