9th Grade Science Projects Kits Don't Have To Be Expensive

When it comes to students putting together 9th Grade Science Projects for their school science fairs, there are a lot of options. Most of them need to keep the project rather inexpensive, even with their parents' help. Some projects can be done almost for free by using basic household items or no supplies at all, while other students need to go out and purchase their supplies. Another option that is becoming more popular is to buy a project kit that includes all the supplies needed to complete the experiment and, quite often, step-by-step instructions.

Students who wish to spend little or no money will be happy to find that they can conduct 9th Grade Science Projects for free or for the cost of a few household items. For example, studying how the weather has an effect our emotions would require supplies already available - weather and people. All the student would have to do is journal, observe, and take notes to report the findings. Other projects that are inexpensive include ones that use simple household items such as sugar, dish soap, or batteries, which can be found for a couple of bucks each.

Still, there are several ready-made 9th Grade Science Projects kits on the market that can be found for under $40. A company called Mini Science makes several experiment kits for various ages. For example, the Starch Test Science Kit is only $25 and includes nearly everything needed to conduct the study including test tubes, iodine solution, droppers, petri dish and project guide. Our young scientists can test several fruits, vegetables, and other items to discover different results. Another kit by Mini Science is the Solar Car Kit. For only $21, children will receive all of the parts to build a mini-solar car model. Likewise, Bright Science is a company that offers packages such as a DNA Experimental Kit for $37 and several simple projects available for download at only $4.95.

Whatever route the student chooses, the project must contain a hypothesis, objective, reported measurable data, results, and conclusion. While some students can come up with ideas for their 9th Grade Science Projects themselves, others may need a gentle nudge for ideas. An experiment kit can eliminate the stress of getting started so that they can enjoy the process and learn.
